White Wolf

White Wolf Publishing is a licensing company focused on creating the best participatory transmedia brands in the world. The most important product is the “World of Darkness” that includes IPs like “Vampire: The Masquerade” and “Werewolf: The Apocalypse” started as tabletop role-playing games and have since grown into other kinds of entertainment and games.

Since the first product hit the market in 1991, the company has released more than 850 books, five computer games that sold millions of copies including “Bloodlines” still considered one of the best CRPGs of all time, an Aaron Spelling produced TV series in the 90’s and several card games that sold hundreds of millions of cards in total. The property today includes over eight main lines of monsters situated in the same overarching universe which are considered in many aspects to be the foundation of the modern monster myth and vampire lore that we know today.

White Wolf is a self-operating subsidiary to Paradox Interactive with its own management and goals. Hence, White Wolf is able to swiftly do licensing deals not only with Paradox but with any party on the market, choosing the best partner for every project. White Wolf owns all the IPs of the 25 year-old brand “World of Darkness” as well as some additional ones like for example “Exalted”. The objective is to maximize the investment in these brands, developing them further, and doing business in all possible areas of entertainment including computer games, physical games, events and TV and movies. White Wolf’s focus is to connect the product releases with each other using events and characters to anchor stories into each other.

Already, White Wolf have more than 14 new book releases planned in 2016 and several events planned including a larp in a castle in Poland as well as the convention “The Grand Masquerade” in New Orleans expecting more than a thousand attendees.
