Welcome to the Month of Darkness!
Intro
Hello fellow vampire, ghoul, werewolf and other monster fans, and welcome to Day 1 of this year’s Month of Darkness. We’re starting the month with a big fanfare of the usual creative prompts, a big Demiplane sale, a new Kickstarter campaign, a big community contest from our friends over at Clans of London and two different types of streams we think you should check out.
This year we don’t have an over-arching theme like last year. The team here at White Wolf is still focused on Alpha 2.0 which we hope to share with you all very soon. Until then, let’s see what this month has in store for us!
Creative Prompts
It's October once again, and with it we'd like to share our prompts for this year. Feel free to join in any creative way you prefer: draw, paint, write, TikTok, take pictures, build something in the Storytellers Vault, play music, and more. We love seeing and sharing your work on our social channels.
We cannot wait to see what you play and create during the Month of Darkness 2026.

Demiplane’s intuitive Character Builder lets you create quickly, then dive into the details when you want. The Character Sheet becomes your digital vitae during games, with built-in calculations, an optimized layout, and one-click access to rules for attributes, skills, advantages, humanity, factions, powers, items, and more.
No mere PDFs, these digital books are available anywhere you have a data connection, optimized for any device, and include features that use Celerity in your Vampire play experience: interactive tooltips, cross-references, pop-out details, and more.
For your Coterie Sheets spend XP directly on your coterie’s domain, as well as on shared merits and flaws. Add XP to your sheet to easily track your group’s spending separate from your individual Kindred and track added coterie benefits in your sheet on Demiplane and when using the Demiplane sheet on Roll20.
Get ready to slake your thirst with Chronicles! Easily create a group for your table. Storytellers can manage which titles and content sources are available for Character Creation and can view and edit character sheets of permissioned players. Plus you can import existing characters into a Chronicle that are already built on Demiplane.
Enter the Playtest on Demiplane.
Help shape the night with Demiplane’s World of Darkness NEXUS and support the Vampire: The Masquerade 6th Edition Alpha! Create your characters, read through the material, and share your feedback to help us with the next edition! This is completely free to Kindred! (Yes, even the Neonates!)
P.S. As a late-night snack, Demiplane will also host a giveaway on the Vampire: The Masquerade subreddit this month, where a few lucky winners will get a hefty treasure trove if they win!
Dice Envy Kickstarter
We are the stained glass to our immortal blood
"I gaze upon this stained glass, set in stone frames for century upon century, their fragility masking their longevity. The oldest of them having outlived all but the most ancient of Kindred, although with an opposed appreciation for the sun. So let us be the beauty for this new world, though lit by moonlight. We are the stained glass to our immortal blood, our vitrail de sang, bathing the night in our eternal sanguine glow."
Vampire: The Masquerade & Dice Envy - Metal d10 Collection
Cast your gaze upon the Vampire: The Masquerade & Dice Envy - Metal d10 Collection, the first major Officially Licensed dice Kickstarter from Dice Envy. Included is a series of metal d10 for the 5th Edition of the Vampire: The Masquerade TTRPG. With Reward Tiers ranging from packs of 5 Masquerade or Hunger d10, to full sets of 10 Masquerade and 5 Hunger d10.
Cast in solid metal, from custom molds designed in-house at Dice Envy, with inspiration from the centuries-old art of stained glass, this metal d10 collection calls to Kindred of a certain refinement, and is the envy of all others. The weight of destiny, echoed in the palm of your hand. Follow now on Kickstarter.
You can even get a sneak peek at them because the legendary Matthew Dawkins got a set and shared his thoughts here. You can pledge your set on the Dice Envy Kickstarter, and read more about the stretch goals they have planned.
