What is “Not in Our Domain!”?

“Not in Our Domain!” is the title of the playtest adventure for the new Vampire: The Masquerade project that we will be showing off at Gen Con 2026. We will be running over a dozen playtests for our fans (all sold out, we’re so grateful!), as well as an official Actual Play(test) based on the same material. We couldn’t be happier to share that the familiar face that’s returning to us is none other than Alexander Ward, known from LA by Night, NY by Night, Private Nightmares, and the current season of Critical Role. He will be our first official storyteller for the project, and will be joined by Xander Jeanneret, Ify Nwadiwe, Anna Margaret, and Diana DiMicco as players. 

The Actual Play(test) will take place on Sunday, August 2nd at 1 PM ET. This is a live, in-progress TTRPG Actual Play(test) where you’ll see brand-new ideas, evolving mechanics, and bold experiments play out in real time. It’s raw. It’s unpolished. It will change. That’s the point. What you’re watching isn’t the final product; it’s the game becoming what it’s meant to be.

So what’s the story?

Trouble is brewing. Mortals have started to disappear under suspicious circumstances, and some of them have been found dead on the outskirts of the city, dangerously close to the coterie’s domain. Normally, this would go unnoticed in such a dangerous city, but the corpses that were found bear marks of a brutal attack. Many of them show dismembered limbs, gushing wounds, and other signs that these deaths are not a product of the typical violence attributed to the area. 

The police didn’t pay much attention to it at first, but now that fear and rumors of strange beasts stalking the night have spread, they are increasing patrol frequency and conducting a more thorough investigation. If that wasn’t bad enough, the city’s Sheriff is getting restless and is demanding that whoever is responsible for these deaths be contained and brought to him for punishment. A small cell of hunters seems to have picked up on the strange occurrences as well, and if they find out that vampires are the ones behind these kills, the Masquerade is going to be in danger. It’s up to the coterie to deal with whatever is hiding on the edge of their domain. Hopefully, trouble doesn't find them first…
