Player advice from Letícia

So, you’ve got yourself into a new game, perhaps with new or familiar faces? Letícia has some great advice for all players before they even roll their first die.

From the get-go, the most crucial part of any new game table is safety and session zero; set the ground rules so players and storytellers both feel comfortable for the campaign ahead. Next, Letícia shares tips on how she approaches character creation, with a few ideas to get you started (now we want to use tarot cards to draw up some inspiration!). Finally, how to keep your material organized and what you really need to know when working on your roleplay.

Letícia’s got you covered on all these topics in her video!

V:TM Inspo images If you’ve ever struggled with creating a character in Vampire: The Masquerade 5th edition, then the community team have created some inspo-boards for each clan to get you started! These are meant to serve as inspiration, to kickstart your own imagination, and, as Kindred, embrace the blood of your sire.

There are fourteen distinct clans in the modern nights, as well as the Caitiff, the Thin-blooded, and innumerable minor bloodlines. According to Cainite mythos, Caine sired three childer who then sired childer of their own. The survivors of this third generation became known as Antediluvians and are regarded as the progenitors of the modern clans. Their blood survives in their descendants, feeding their shared powers, weaknesses, and maybe even some common behaviors and beliefs within clans.

These images are of course not exhaustive or meant to be restrictive, and we encourage you to play your Kindred as you want to play them, but we hope these boards might help some of you. If you want to read more about the different clans to find out what you might like to incorporate into your character, head on over to the V:TM page to read more, or even take the interactive quiz!
